Ho’ponopono
Técnica Hawaiana de sanación ancestral simple y efectiva - A simple and effective, ancient Hawaiian healing technique
English version bellow :)
¡Hola familia!

As usual, please remember English is not my mother tongue :)
Hi fam!
How are you moving through the May 26th portal? It was so strong for me and brought up stuff I didn’t even know I had, that I’ve decided to share one of the main healing techniques I’ve been using this week.
It’s a simple technique, probably known by many, called ho’ponopono.
The ho’ponopono is an ancient Hawaiian healing technique, that focuses on forgiveness and acceptance.
The word ho’oponopono roughly translates to “cause things to move back in balance” and “make things right”.
Its origin is said to be the belief, shared by many ancient cultures, that most diseases come from our emotional and energetic fields. It was also used to re-unite families after strong arguments.
Everything that hurts reflects an open wound and is an invitation to heal it. An opportunity.
Whether it’s a physical or emotional pain, forgiveness is key to transmute it.
It’s a very simple technique, involving the repetition of four quotes as mantras:
I’M SORRY, PLEASE FORGIVE ME, THANK YOU, I LOVE YOU.
I’M SORRY: Acknowledge harm was made
PLEASE FORGIVE ME: Don’t carry the guilt, blame or anger within. Forgive yourself and the others
THANK YOU: Every experience is an invitation to heal and learn and I’m grateful for it.
I LOVE YOU: Love is the starting and the return point. Love is home. Love is peace.
Singing or repeating these quotes as mantras is a powerful way to clean our bodies from guilt, to heal, neutralize situations, understand the reasons behind the experience, manifest each situation’s greater good, neuter resentment, come in touch with love and gratitude’s high frequency and even use it as an easy forgiveness “hack” given its simplicity and the fact that the constant repetition helps us to transform our inner dialogue.
We can use this technique for almost every situation. To heal an ancient problem or the argument I just had with a neighbor.
It can be used to heal emotionally-charged situations or lighter issues. The ho’ponopono will always take us to a place of forgiveness, love and gratitude.
Still, this technique can find a lot of resistance from our ego.
Why do I have to ask for forgiveness when it’s the other person the one who hurt me?
Our ego will always suggest we are right and the ones deserving an apology. But that’s just the ego talking.
Our heart’s biggest wish is to make amends and go back to feeling love and compassion for the other person, because it knows it is the only way to go back to inner peace.
It can take some time. It can take hours or it could take years. The bigger the wound, the bigger the resistance from the ego.
Holding on to anger or resentment throughout the years, energetic blockages, unresolved trauma, things we have never forgiven to others or ourselves have been proven to cause all kinds of diseases.
The truth is, there is no real healing without forgiveness, since that resentment gradually becomes our poison.
Being mad at someone can bother or annoy that person more or less, but it will ultimately poison me every second of the day. It’s too much of a burden.
As said many times, everything is energy.
Any thought or emotion that resonates with anger, resentment, revenge wishes or victimhood, lowers my frequency and strongly affects my perception of reality.
It’s a poison that will gradually take over everything. That’s why incorporating the ho’ponopono into our lives is essential.
You can get creative while implementing it, though it’s basically repeating it as a mantra.
You can do it in your meditation, throughout the day, during a specific complex moment, playing the song as background sound while doing other things (search ho’ponopono on youtube or spotify to find hundreds of versions).
In any way, it’s important to do it at least seven times in a row to seal the intention by repeating it this sacred amount of times.
It’s also important to do it at least seven times for myself and seven times for the person I’m trying to make amends with.
When I’m mad as someone, I like to play this version as background music while I do other things and let its frequency sink in.
Incorporating the ho’ponopono into our lives is a beautiful, one-way ticket.
All physical and emotional bodies are in a constant quest of going back to balance. So when you don’t know where to start from, start from here
This week’s guided meditation is, of course, one with this wonderful technique. You can find it as usual on my Spotify, Youtube, Apple Podcast and all podcast thingys channels.
