¿Qué somos cuando no tenemos nada? - What are we when we have nothing?
My experience and lessons learnt from the famous virus.
English below 🙃
Me había olvidado.

As usual, please remember English is not my mother tongue 🙃
Hi soul fam! How are you?
I know today’s theme sounds a bit cryptic, but I wanted to share something that happened to me these past weeks and the reason why I haven’t send a newsletter in a month.
As some of you may know, some weeks ago I went to Argentina to visit my friends and family. A week later I got the infamous virus and had to be in bed for the remain of my stay.
It was hard to swallow and accept. I haven’t been in Buenos Aires in over a year and a half. Going back to where you were born is something extraordinary when you emigrate to another country. To me, it’s party.
You’re looking forward to the trip for months, you have plans and expectations, you think about everyone you’ll meet, the places you’ll visit that will make you travel emotionally, see your mom and dad which you miss so much, see your nieces, nephews and goddaughter who don’t stop growing…
And suddenly, nothing. You won’t get to do any of that.
I had to digest and accept that fact while spending almost a week with a fever of 39. Believe it or not, that wasn't the biggest problem.
Today I want to share with you the real storm.
The physical part of this experience was like a bad flu. The problem for me was the mental, emotional and spiritual struggle that this little bug took me through.
This virus impacts our bodies in a different way given the fact that it’s not a natural one. I guess millions of testimonials from people who went through it can back this up.
This bug disconnects you from the self. From your own higher being, from your essence, your higher chakras, from your connection to the Source... it disconnects you from everything. And for me, that was the biggest challenge.
I know there are people who went through it without it being a big deal, and I also know people with similar stories to mine. This is just my experience.
Today, I want to share what I’ve learned, what was deconstructed in my mind and what was shacked inside me. I still have some after-effects, but I am extremely grateful for the experience, the intense learning and inner disassemble.
The disconnection started during the first hours of fever. It was really hard for me as I’m used to being regularly connected to my Guides and getting answers for any doubt I may have.
When that connection was cut off, I suddenly inhabited a nebula of nothingness.
I couldn’t connect to my Higher Self either, nor with my Guides, Angels, my presence I Am and basically nothing at all. I suddenly felt an extreme emptiness that I had never experienced before... or had I?
In this newsletter I talk a bit about what happens when we disconnect from our own spirit. I share my own experience with addictions and eating disorders and how, when I was able to reconnect, everything changed. How people who inflict constant pain on other beings are completely disconnected from their spirit and in constant agony themselves.
The first few nights during my fever delusions, I felt the virus wanting to get in, looking for its place, wanting to BE. I empathized with it. I didn’t feel it was the one to blame, it was just designed for this.
I had recurring nightmares, seeing myself in a fetal position, trying to contact God and each time I would wake up with the phrase WHAT ARE YOU WHEN YOU HAVE NOTHING?
Over and over again, all night long, nightmare after nightmare... WHAT ARE YOU WHEN YOU HAVE NOTHING?
I felt lost and the question kept repeating itself over and over again.
It was then when I had my first realization. What am I when I have nothing, when I cannot identify with anything, when I am floating in nothingness itself, without any connection of any kind, unable to turn onto anything to comfort me, feeling that I could not intervene but only let it be. I felt extreme vulnerability.
It was heartbreaking, really disheartening. I felt a deep sadness. I felt frustrated and even ashamed. How was I suddenly in this situation?
After four years without taking allopathic medicine and on day five of a fever of 39, I considered taking paracetamol. Me, the person who somewhat bragged about not taking allopathic medicine and only taking herbal or natural meds, had to break with that belief.
I held the pill in my hand for half an hour, looking at it and crying non-stop. They were not tears of sadness. They were tears of gratitude for the detachment. The detachment and the pain that comes from breaking with a belief that for so long I have had and flaunted about.
By this, I don’t mean that I’ve now changed my opinion about pharmaceuticals and their products, but I highlight the fact that this process invited me to rethink things I felt strongly about and become more flexible.
Flexibility, what a gift.
That was my second realization. I was holding the paracetamol in my hand, crying... and in one of the few lucid moments of connection I had during this whole process, Jesus tells me: ALL BELIEFS ARE LIMITING.
My head exploded.
Me, who always talks about overcoming limiting beliefs that condition us, realized that, in some way, I was a prisoner to my own beliefs, no matter how new age they were.
Flexibility, Valeria. Flexibility.
At that moment I started to rethink everything. Everything I believed was a "good belief"... my lifestyle, my daily choices... everything. Not because I now consider them wrong, but with no flexibility (I of course believed I had it) they can become a prison.
One of the first things I did when I returned to Mallorca where I live, was to go to the hardware store and buy one of those salad spinners. I’ve always wanted one, but since they are made out of plastic, I thought I shouldn’t.
I insist that I’m not saying that I’m now rethinking my whole lifestyle as for me its fundamental to live in coherence with my beliefs, but where do principles end and the prison begins?
Everything in the Universe is constantly moving in a perfect mechanism. Absolutely everything.
I realized that I had invested so much energy in detaching myself from the character of Valeria the skater who traveled the world that I didn't realize how attached I had become to the new character; however spiritual she may be.
I feel pretty vulnerable opening up to you all like this, but I've always told my truth as I perceive it, in case it might help someone else.
After the fever came the sadness, bordering on depression. A week in which I cried non-stop about everything. Now I laugh about it and want to hug myself, but at the time it felt terrible.
My teacher, friend and guide during this process, the wonderful channeler Montse Carracedo Ollero, told me it was normal. There’s a deep sadness that comes out from the disconnection with the self.
And then I remembered that it was not the first time I felt that way. I’ve been feeling good for so many years that I had forgotten how it felt when I perceived everything through the filter of sadness.
Of course, many things have happened to me these past years. But no matter how hard they were, the perception and way of experiencing them changes drastically after having worked hard on my own healing process and shifting consciousness.
But suddenly I didn't have that consciousness. I was disconnected, and I felt again what I felt as a teenager and young adult. It was devastating. There was no hope, no comfort. It was so hard.
I now perceive it like a forced down-to-earth thing, to help me remember what life feels like when everything goes through the filter of sadness, anger or frustration. I had forgotten how terrible it felt and it seems important to me as I accompany many people throughout their healing processes.
As the days went by, the sadness left and the extreme tiredness and lack of vital energy arrived, another key feature of this famous little bug.
Today, two days before you receive this newsletter, was the first day I felt more energetic.
Patience, Valeria. Patience.
And just when I was beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel, my mother, who was taking care of me, gets it too.
Happily, she didn't get it too bad, but I couldn't sleep during the two nights she had fever. I was inconsolable. I was so anguished that I couldn’t see beyond it.
It confronted me with very basic and deep fears.
It was and is an invitation to detach myself from my characters and identifications.
What am I when I cannot identify with anything?
Not with a job, nor with my hobbies, family, social groups, gifts and skills, my connection to my self, my beliefs, sense of belonging, life mission, with my past, illnesses, clothes, car or lifestyle... What am I when I have none of those things?
Some days ago Matias Destefano -on a mission in Egypt- shared one of the messages he got in the Temple of Horus that resonated deeply with me in this whole experience:
“Thus, becoming enlightened is an exercise in learning to manage the pressure of life, and to use pain, fear and suffering as fuel to shine.
The message was that in order to build a new enlightened humanity, we need to accept that we live in a world where masters come to live under pressure in order to find their light.
And that awareness is what must be expanded to the Network”.
I find it so beautiful. That’s where we are all at. Every challenge is a test to find our inner Light.
This is my experience with the virus and all the gifts it brought me. I presume it will continue to bring them as I feel like this was some sort of mental, emotional and spiritual restructuring.
As I said the other day on my Instagram, the Universe doesn't always give us what we want, but it always gives us what we need.
This process was a deep, complex and wonderful reset that I am very grateful for. I know it’s no coincidence that it happened in Argentina and almost almost almost in my mom’s womb 😅
This newsletter goes out with deep gratitude to my mother for taking such great care of me, to my father for doing the same and to my Teacher and friend Montse Carracedo Ollero for guiding me throughout the whole process. What a blessing to have you ❤️
Also, for the first time, I want to dedicate this newsletter to my friend Mercedes Manqui, whose mother disincarnated this week 🙏🏽 Mer, all this community embraces and accompanies you and your family.
As usual, only take what resonates with you. This is just my experience and I wanted to share it.
Thank you for reading me with an open heart.
And thank you for all the messages of love and support during this process that, although it felt very lonely, I think that somehow I also knew that there was a huge Network holding me, even if I didn't perceive it.
